How it looks
Slender Deutzia is a deciduous shrub on which small white flowers hang densely in clusters along the branches in spring. The leaves are toothed, narrow, long ovals, and the branches droop slenderly. It stands 24 in–4 ft (60 cm–1.2 m) tall and is common as a garden shrub.
Slender Deutzia is listed as non-toxic to cats by the ASPCA. An occasional nibble is unlikely to cause any real trouble.

One note on species first. This page rests on the ASPCA verdict for slender deutzia (Deutzia gracilis), and other deutzias sold under the same name, such as Deutzia uniflora, are different species in the genus. The list covers D. gracilis only, so no cat-specific verdict exists for the others.
Even with a safe plant, make a habit of picking up fallen leaves the same day.
